The story behind the name “Steven”
Our “Steven” chair is flying high with its name derived from Steven Allan Spielberg. With a seat height of 76 cm this chair is, like its namesake, one of the highest in the world of film. Steven Spielberg is considered to be one of the most successful ever directors and producers (measured by the box-office income of his films).
It is rare to go through life without having seen one of his films. Some of his most famous works include Jurassic Park, E.T. and War of the Worlds, among others. He has already been nominated for 15 Oscars!
Information on the type of wood and the upholstery fabric used for the chair
The white lacquer covers the grain of the wood with a matte white finish. The texture of the wood is almost invisible. The lacquer protects the solid beech wood. The white director’s and make-up chairs are perfect for bright rooms or as a contrast in darker environments. The hinges and/or fittings are all made exclusively of steel. These chairs are produced exclusively in the EU.
Please be aware that beech wood chairs are not weatherproof. Therefor you should not leave them outside constantly. We recommend to simply fold the chair an store it space saving, if it is not used.
For pure outdoor purposes please have a look at our directors chair Oscar in Iroko wood (similar to teak).
The red brown tone of these covers has a warm, Mediterranean look. They are lightfast, water resistant and very durable. They will easily withstand many folding maneuvers without losing color or shape.
